BondsOn Vinyl Concrete Patch

Damtite BondsOn Vinyl Concrete Patch

Self-Bonding!

  • Just Add Water & Mix
  • Higher Strength than Most Cements
  • Great for Thin Repair or Resurface
  • Spreads to 1/16 inch thickness

BondsOn is a high strength, multi-purpose, self-bonding cement repair material for thin section repair and resurface, from 1/2″ (13 mm) to feather-edge, on concrete, stucco, and masonry. Use to repair chipped, cracked or spalled concrete, to build-up broken step corners or to resurface floor & walls, driveways, and walks. Also use to set tile, flagstone, and slate.

BondsOn provides a high strength finish which is significantly stronger than a regular cement mix. Just add water and mix. Since BondsOn includes a vinyl resin, no liquid bonding agents or additives are needed.

Area to be repaired must be structurally sound. Remove all loose, flaky or crumbling concrete with wire brush or tip of trowel. Remove any oil or gas spots with a degreaser and rinse well. If applying to vertical surface, remove any efflorescence (salt-deposits) and neutralize surface with Damtite Concrete Cleaner and rinse well. Any smooth surfaces must be roughened for best adhesion. After thoroughly cleaning area to be repaired, dampen surface well with clean water, but remove excess water and do not leave puddles. Note: Do not apply over painted surfaces.

Use clean container. If mixing all 12lb (5.44 kg), first add 1 quarts (0.95 L) of clean water. Then gradually add all powder while continually stirring. Be sure all powder is thoroughly blended. Allow mixture to stand 10 minutes to complete chemical reaction. Add additional small amount of water to obtain firm workable mix or desired consistency.

Dampen repair area with clean water. Apply mix with trowel, forcing thin layer onto surface using heavy trowel pressure. Keep trowel clean and wet for ease of application. Smooth the patch to feather-edge finish with wet trowel. For deep patches greater than 1/2″ (13 mm) or on vertical areas, use a build-up method by applying 1/4″ (6mm) layer and allowing 2 hour drying time between layers. For best adhesion on build-up layers or repair to old surface, first apply a “slurry” mixture of BondsOn (obtained by adding 3 parts water to 1 part powder and brushing on like paint film). This will eliminate air pockets and assure bonding to old surface. Then, apply basic mixture before slurry coat dries. Note: Use only when surface temperature is above 40°F (4°C) for 24 hours. Do not allow the mixture to freeze before it has cured. Not for use in expansion joints or on cracks less than 1/8″ (3mm).
